Any orders will require full payment on booking to confirm your order. Any changes to your order must be made in writing no later than 3 days prior to collection. Cancellations less than 48 hours prior to order date will not be refunded.
For wedding cake orders - 50% non-refundable deposit is required on booking, the remaining balance to be paid 14 days before collection/delivery. Failure to do so without written agreement may result in your order being cancelled and your deposit will not be refunded. In the event of cancellation 4 weeks before delivery/collection the deposit can be transferred to a future date, (subject to availability). Cancellation less than 4 weeks from the order date, will be liable for payment of the full order amount.
Should fresh flowers be arranged/placed on the cake by the client after delivery/collection, it is the responsibility of the client and/or florist to determine flower safety and good food practices as some flowers may be toxic. Famous Cake Company Ltd will not hold the responsibility of any toxins and/or damage caused to the goods provided.
Delivery and set up within 3 miles of BN2 6PJ is included in the total cost when quoted for wedding cakes. Any changes needed for delivery must be given no less than 24 hours before delivery, an extra charge will be made for changes made with less than 24 hours notice. Delivery within 3 miles of BN2 6PJ is free of charge. Delivery is charged £1 per round mile travelled to delivery destination plus £10 per hour).
It is the responsibility of the client to inform Famous Cake Company Ltd of ANY/ALL known allergies, even those that might not be relevant in the baking and fulfilment of your order. Famous Cake Company Ltd DO NOT run an allergens-free kitchen, equipment used comes into contact with nuts, milk, wheat and other allergens on a daily basis. Allergen information is provided with all orders.
Famous Cake Company Ltd cannot be held liable for any damage caused to your order after it has been inspected by the client and left the premises. Upon collection it is the client’s responsibility to ensure the safety of the cake to its required destination.
In the unlikely event of a severe medical, natural or other emergency, it may be necessary to arrange an alternative cake maker. Famous Cake Company Ltd will make every effort to secure a replacement. If such a situation should occur and a suitable replacement is not found, responsibility and liability is limited to the return of all payments received for your order.
In the unlikely event that a cake is deemed as unsatisfactory upon cutting, the client must retain the whole cake for inspection by the cake maker. If it is agreed that the cake is not fully baked or does not contain the correct flavours as stated on the initial order, a percentage of the total cost will be agreed and refunded. Without the goods returned for an inspection, no refund can be given.
